The Launch – April 2011
The Creative Services Support was launched in April 2011 at the Aman Hotel in New Delhi with exciting guests like KumariSelja, Minister of Cultureand renowned actor, Sharmila Tagore as the Chief Guest. Sir Richard Stagg, The British High Commissioner to India inaugurated the launch with the Founder of CSSG, AnandKapoor and co-hosts Sir Mark Tully and Amin Jaffer.
The event exhibited lighting installations by renowned light sculptor Patrick Rimoux and an art installation by Thukral&Tagrawhich was curated by Peter Nagy as well as a contemporary water dance performance by dancing star Chris Leckner with outfits designed by Shivan and Naresh encrusted in Swarovski Crystals. The music for the evening was composed by Arun Reyes.
The launch highlighted the importance of the creative sectors for emerging economies in contributing to India’s economic growth.

Year of Gastronomy – September 2012
In 2012 CSSG put its focus on the Gastronomy sector, using food to bring people together for the creative sectors.
The Gastronomy Summit brought together the best names in the international culinary industry. The summit opened at The Leela Palace in New Delhi followed by a fundraiser charity dinner at The Oberoi, Gurgaon for underprivileged individuals who expressed the desire to pursue a career in the gastronomy sector. It further featured six renowned international chefs, four of whom are Michelin starred – AnjumAnand, Ian Curley, Frances Atkins, Vineet Bhatia, Laurie Gear, and Marcello Tully – who were in conversation with key Indian food experts like VirSanghvi, RashmiUday Singh, Natasha Khurana, Advaita Kala and MarryamReshi. The sit-down dinner featured nine courses, prepared by the guest chefs.
At the event President of CSSG, AnandKapoor commented: “The idea is to give people from underprivileged backgrounds opportunities within the gastronomy sector; we are looking at giving those people the chance to learn a trade from leading individuals from the Hospitality industry.”

Food and Art Edition – September 2013
In 2013 CSSG held their first Multi City event involving international Michelin star chefs. The chefs were invited to help celebrate ‘Food and Art’ taking a journey across two cites in a five day event. During that time they held master classes and culinary events at the Leela Palace, New Delhi and the Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai in support of CSSG. The Chefs also visited schools and conducted interesting sessions of master classes with the students of Vasant Valley and Teach India school in Delhi which provided an opportunity forthe students to explore their creativity and learn about the world of gastronomy from some of the most successful chefs in world.
In addition there were a series of dinners showcasing the dishes of the chefs at The Leela Palace New Delhi and the Four Seasons in Mumbai. The dishes cooked by the nine chefs were interpreted by students from College of Art Kids New Delhi.
At the launch of the Summit, President of CSSG, AnandKapoor said, “This year we have incorporated many new experiences and turned art and food on its head by exploring the relationship between the two. We have really pushed the envelope by bringing together such amazing talent from all over the world in such a great number who have all come out in support of the charity (NGO). The key though is for us to ensure that these initiatives allow us to help the individuals we are trying to help. Post last year we placed several individuals and they have flourished under the care and guidance of their mentors.”

CSSG 2014
2014 will be our year of consolidation; the focus will be on awareness and capacity building in order to allow people to understand and support the charity’s cause and develop our organizational impact. Instead of having a big year-end event in autumn, CSSG has decided to push it back to February.

Year of Women
2015 will be the Year of Women, aiming to give young women from underprivileged backgrounds a voice- Working with young women, CSSG has found that they often have no role models to inspire them to achieve their full potential.
To celebrate the Year of Women and to gain funds for the charity’s cause in order to make a difference to the lives of several young women we have put together a series of fundraising and outreach events including Dinners, Masterclasses and an Art Exhibition.
